Our inpatient pediatric rehabilitation unit is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and the New York State Department of Health (DOH). Team Approach
The experts at St. Charles use a family-centered approach to rehabilitation. Parents are recognized as an integral member of the health care team and are highly encouraged to be directly involved in their child's care. The rehabilitation team is led by a pediatric physiatrist (a physician specializing in pediatric rehabilitation medicine) and includes physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech/language pathologists, rehabilitation nurses, social workers, and psychologists. With your input, the team coordinates a wide range of medical, therapeutic and supportive services for your child that are administered through a customized treatment program.
